Poster Making Competition On Veeron Ka Vandan Held At GCW Udhampur

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Committee (AKAM) of Govt. College for Women, Udhampur organized a Poster making competition on the topic “Veeron ka Vandan” in collaboration with Department of Music, under the aegis of Meri Maati Mera Desh and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on August 11, 2023.
Principal of the College, Prof. Anjali Mahajan congratulated the winners and appreciated the organizers for hosting this wonderful event to pay a tribute to our national heroes.
In poster making competition about 20 students participated and made beautiful posters on the given theme. Dr. Seema Sharma, HOD Music, Prof. Ashni Devi, HOD Botany and Prof. Tania Mahajan, Assistant Prof. of Zoolgy were the jury members. On the basis of judgement of jury members, Miss Hritika Bala of Sem-V, Miss Shagun of Sem-V and Miss Kajal Devi of Sem -V were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively while Miss Pragnaya of Sem-V and Miss Meenakshi Sharma of Sem-V got 1st and 2nd consolation prizes respectively.
Prof. Pooja Bharti, HOD Geography presented the formal welcome address and gave a brief resume about the event. She further conducted the proceedings of the programme with formal Vote of Thanks.
Dr. Kewal Kumar (Botany Department) and Dr. Amit Kumar (Physics Department) provided logistic support.
